Porphyry is among the most durable of all natural stones and is most commonly derived from quarries in Mexico, Italy and Argentina along with China as a newly emerging source.  Belonging to the family of volcanic basalt-based stones, porphyry is, indeed, the hardest variety.  Despite being commonly referred to as a cobblestone paving, it is a highly diverse material.  Coloration is most readily available in a mixed red selection, but, depending on the scope of project, we can source material in a wide variety of colors, extending well into gray, brown and lilac.  Typical formats include split paving and cubes, with more refined finishes like sawn edge paving and thickness-gauged materials also available.  Whatever the application, residential use or an extensive urban infrastructure project, let gotu be your guide to this most noble and historic of paving materials.

E20 is a unique paving collection that combines the best practices of economy and low profile.  Designed for exterior use, this 2cm (3/4” nom) material is an excellent alternative to natural stone due to its color range, durability, strength and low maintenance. A through-body porcelain, E20 is made from 40% recycled content.  Available in seven stone look colors and in a 24x24” format plus accessory components – 12x24” stair tread, 12x24” slotted drain tile and a 4x24” bullnose trim.  The E20 collection can be installed in cement or in sand as dry-set paving and also on pedestals for decking.  E20 is additionally ideal on vertical applications as a ventilated cladding material.
